The Snowball Effect Is Real

Actions lead to results.

A couple quotes that came in from two of my artists this week:

1.) “Things are starting to happen”
2.) “The snowball effect is real!”

What is the snowball effect? A situation where something starts small and gains momentum, growing in significance or intensity. Small wins leading to bigger wins. Good things leading to more good things. Winning and keeping on winning.

What I’ve witnessed happening with my clients over the course of just a few months is insane. We talked about their goals as they related to their music career, discussed where they’re getting stuck or experiencing challenges, and created a playbook to get them where they wanted to go. We set actions that would lead to results, and we executed on those actions. The execution created a snowball effect and each win, no matter how small, is leading to more wins.

Things like getting out and networking in person, releasing excellent music, posting unique and engaging content on socials, being particular about what types of gigs we’re taking, commanding booking fees we deserve, coming up with distinct brand ideas, and being consistent with everything we do has all led to success and continued wins with these artists. More and more good things keep happening and our list of wins keeps growing.

The hardest part about what we do is starting, continuing, or simply taking action. But once we do, we see results. I see it with my own business. The Racket House is steadily gaining followers, my email list is growing, and I’m booking more calls with people who want to work with me.

It seems so simple, but we often get in our own way, overthink, or have self-doubt. But the most important thing we can do is, well, DO. Just do what we know we need to do. Try something out. If it works, great - keep doing it. If it doesn’t work, that’s a learning lesson and we can try something else.

Never stop working toward your goals. If you’re passionate about growing and succeeding, keep putting in the work and you’ll see the results. Never hesitate to ask for help or to lean on your network for assistance. No one is successful on their own and we’re all going to see the snowball effect come to light once we get the ball rolling.

Keep hustling - it’s going to pay off.
